Moving text without collision

Module(s): Bar Reinforcement

You can use the Move Text without Collision tool to move labels so that they do not overlap.

To move labels that overlap

1. Click Move Text without Collision (How).
   

   Activate Move Text without Collision in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Engineering Bar Reinforcement

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Bar Reinforcement

   • Configuration: Engineering Engineering Modify flyout
2. Specify the direction in which you want to move the text and select the elements which Allplan is to take into account in addition to the label when it determines the new position.
3. Select all the labels that overlap or that collide with the selected elements.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   The selected labels are moved in the direction you have specified until they no longer overlap.
