Printing in batch mode

When you have selected several layouts for output using the Print Layouts tool, these layouts are printed in batch mode.

If a Windows driver is set for the current layout, you can specify the output device, paper format and print profile you want to use. This way, you can send some layouts straight to a printer and create print files for the other layouts.

Windows drivers are printer drivers delivered with the Windows operating system or by the device manufacturer. In Allplan, either Windows drivers or Allplan vector drivers can be used for printing.

A printer driver is a program that translates graphical commands into control characters (e.g., HPGL, PostScript) for a particular printer. You can use Windows drivers or Allplan vector drivers (in connection with output channels) as printer drivers in Allplan.

If a Allplan vector driver is set in the current layout, this driver is used for all the layouts that are part of the batch. Depending on the selected setting, all layouts are sent straight to the printer or several print files are created.

Allplan vector drivers are printer drivers supplied with Allplan and are available for certain devices. To use Allplan vector drivers, you need to define at least one output channel in the Services application.
