Point snap

Beep when user clicks undefined points

When this option is active, the system emits a warning tone when it fails to detect a point within the snap radius when you attempt to place or select a point, or position something in the workspace.

Enable point snap (F3)

Activates point snap.
While making entries, you can use the F3 key to enable/disable point snap without having to open the Point Entry Options dialog box.

(End) Point

Snaps to the nearest element endpoint. This option cannot be deactivated.

Point of intersection

Snaps to the point of intersection between two elements.

Midpoint

Snaps to the nearest midpoint of a line or polygon inside the snap radius.

Tangential point

Snaps to the tangential point of an arc, circle, ellipse or curve.

Quadrant point

Snaps to the quadrant point of an arc, circle, ellipse or curve.

Grid point

Finds the nearest grid point.
Note: The grid is defined with Grid Settings. The grid is only visible when Grid on/off (on the Special toolbar) is active. Grid points are snapped even when the grid is not displayed.

Reference point of dimension line

Snaps to the nearest reference point when you draw dimension lines

Element

Snaps to the nearest point on an element within the snap radius.

Linear snap using CTRL + left mouse button

With this, the nearest point in the detection radius is snapped with CTRL + left mouse button when placing points. This way, you can quickly draw mutually perpendicular lines.

Snap radius in mm

Defines the radius about the crosshairs that the system scans for points.
