Rotating elements in plan
Tool(s): Rotate
You can use Rotate, Plan to rotate elements in plan.
To rotate 2D elements
- Click Rotate (How).
- Click Plan in the input options.
- the elements you want to rotate in plan.
- Enter the base point for the rotation.
- Define the angle of rotation in one of the following ways:
- Enter the angle in the dialog line and press Enter to confirm. A positive angle produces counter-clockwise rotation.
- Specify a starting point and direction point for the rotation.
- Click a line (this serves as the reference line) and then another line (serves as the direction line). The element is rotated by the smaller of the two angles produced by the lines. This way, you can align an element with existing elements, for example.

Tip: If you do not need to place the elements exactly, you can also select them in plan using handles and then rotate them. For more information, see Editing elements using handles.
