Material/quality assignment, features of the Allplan_BCM catalog

The Allplan_BCM catalog provides direct access to the files in Allplan BCM; importing is not necessary.

Requirements for using the Allplan_BCM catalog:

• Allplan BCM is installed on the network.
• The Allplan BCM data drive has been shared and connected to the CAD computer.
• The first time you select a material from the Allplan_BCM catalog, the Allplan BCM data path allright\data needs to be specified in a dialog box.

To select a material from the Allplan_BCM catalog

1. When you select a material or code text from the Allplan_BCM catalog, the Catalog dialog box is displayed.

   The individual items mean:

   List box (top left)

   All the project types available in Allplan BCM are displayed here. Select one.

   Button (top right)

   Here you can see the Allplan BCM data path currently set. You can change the path to Allplan BCM by clicking the button. The change is saved for the next time.

   Overview in the top part of the dialog box

   This is where the hierarchical structure of the selected Allplan BCM project type is displayed.
   Select the file.

   Window in the bottom part of the dialog box

   The CAD attributes of the selected file are displayed.

   All Properties >> / Reduce <<

   These buttons let you switch between the advanced and reduced display of the dialog box.

2. Click OK to confirm the Catalog dialog box, the selected file (code text) and the calculation mode are transferred to the Properties dialog box.
   
   Off disables the material/quality assignment.
