Type

This is where you select the shape of the window sill. You have the following options:

Parameters

Enter the dimensions for the window sill here.
The meanings of the individual dimensions are illustrated on the right-hand side of the dialog box.

Trade

The building trade assigned here is used later by the system to generate lists, schedules and analyze the building data.

To assign a building trade, click on an entry.

Calculation mode

The computation mode has a bearing on subsequent lists and schedules.

You might, for instance, list elements differently depending on the computation mode set here i.e., show the area of walls more than 4’’ thick and show the volume of walls more than 10’’ thick.

To specify a computation mode, select one of the modes (volume, area, linear) listed in the dialog box.

Position

This is where you can configure the program to create an Outer or Inner window sill. You can also assign the Inner attribute to both parts of a window sill, when designing a pass-through, for example. The Outer and Inner attributes are also evaluated and analyzed in lists and schedules.
Switching between Outer and Inner does not change the geometrical position of smart window sill symbols. To actually modify the position, use Move smart window sill symbol to other side of the wall on the shortcut menu displayed when you click a smart window sill symbol.

Format properties

Element, pen, line, color ...

This is where you define the format properties of window sills displayed in 2D and 3D.
Animation surfaces can be applied to 3D elements.

Preview

Plan, elevation

Shows the selected window sill wit the dimensions specified.
Enter the dimensions in the Parameters area.

Scale

Select the scale range to be displayed in the dialog box.

Def..

Click Def.. to define the scale ranges of three predefined 2D views for the smart window sill symbol. You can associate specific scale ranges with specific views. To exclude a view, clear the relevant check box.
