Custom planes

Reference planes

Besides the default reference planes, you can also create custom pairs of planes. These planes (there are always two) can be inclined at any angle and any height that you assign to them. Heights are relative to the datum. Any number of custom reference plane pairs can be defined per document.

The boundary of custom reference plane pairs is shown as a dotted line. Normally they are defined for individual elements or for a group of connected architectural elements.

Tip: To define custom pairs of planes, use Custom Planes (How) in the General: Roofs, Planes, Sections module.

Activate Custom Planes in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Architecture General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

1 - 4: Construction points
A: Upper plane
B: Lower plane
C: Elevation of points 1 and 4 at top
D: Elevation of points 3 and 2 at top
E: Elevation of Points 1 and 4 at bottom
F: Elevation of Points 3 and 2 at bottom
