Exporting route to an Excel file
Tool(s): Export Routes + Modify Bridge/Civil Engineering Component
- Select the route or one of its station points in the tree structure or Elevation preview.
- Click Export Route to Excel on the shortcut menu, Route toolbar or File menu.
- Specify the path and the file name. Check that the path actually exists and that it ends with “\”.
Four Excel files with different extensions are created:
- Export file "local measuring" with the extension local_measuring.xlsx
This file contains the stationing and the height values of the polygon points of the corresponding cross-section polygon in the local coordinate system (i.e. an offset you have defined is taken into account) for all the station points. - Export file "global measuring" with the extension global_measuring.xlsx
This file contains the stationing and the height values of the polygon points of the corresponding cross-section polygon in the global coordinate system (i.e. an offset you have defined is not taken into account) for all the station points. - Export file "local pegging out" with the extension peg_local.xlsx
This file contains the stationing and the coordinates in the local coordinate system (i.e. an offset you have defined is taken into account) for all the station points. - Export file "global pegging out" with the extension peg_global.xlsx
This file contains the stationing and the coordinates in the global coordinate system (i.e. an offset you have defined is not taken into account) for all the station points.
Note: You cannot export routes to Excel files when running a demo version!
