Placing automatically

Tool(s): Placing in 3D

Automatic depth placement is used to place the bending shapes of the component in the view created. The parameters set in the dialog box are used.

When you have configured Allplan to create a layer symbol ( Options, Reinforcement - Labels page) and you have not yet placed this symbol along with the label, you can select a Layer symbol in the Leader area of the palette after having labeled the placement and click the drop-in point or a bar segment or you can skip layer marking by pressing ESC.

The following parameters are provided:

From depth/to: this is where you define the placing region. The absolute coordinates of the 3D shell need to be entered or selected in the list box.
As an alternative to numerical entry, you can also define the points where the placement is to begin and end by clicking points on the shell with the right mouse button. When you select the Custom depth option on the shortcut menu, you can click any points to define the placing region.
The placing area defined is displayed on screen. If the points defined by clicking produce a From depth value that is greater than the To depth value, the two values are interchanged.

Flip placing direction: when you enable this option, you can swap the start and end of a bar placement. This way, you can specify how the bar is displayed. Make the relevant settings in the Modify Placement Display Mode tool.
Note: The placing region specified by the program always starts in the direction of the viewing direction of the view in which the bars were entered and ends in the opposite direction. The bar is folded in the placing direction.

Label reinforcement: when you deactivate this option, the entire reinforcement is created without labels. Placements can be labeled later using the Label and Dimension Line, Label tools.
When this option is selected, the program offers a label each time you place a mark.
