Labeling a (composite) element using a curve trace

You can use the Label (Curve Trace) tool to create and label a curve trace of a (composite) element.

To create a curve trace

1. Click Label (How).
   

   Activate Label in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Terrain Site Plan

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Site plan

2. In the input options, click Curve.
3. Click the element from which the curve trace is to be created.
4. In the input options, enter a value to approximate the number of segments in a circle.
   

   This value defines the polygonization for ellipses, splines and DB parabolas. The higher the value, the smoother the manner in which the trace is displayed. You can enter a value between 8 and 360.

5. Enter the scale factor to be used to draw the values of the curve in the dialog line.
   

   The curve in [mm] is obtained from the reciprocal value of the radius, which is specified in [m]. For the display, Allplan uses the freely definable scale factor that should match the smallest radius.

   The proposed scale factor of 1000 results in a value of 10mm for a radius of 100m in the layout.

   The curve trace is created.
