Elevation Point (Grid)

Module Digital Terrain Model

To place elevation points in a grid

1. Click Elevation (How).
   

   Activate Elevation Point in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Terrain Digital Terrain Model

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Digital Terrain Model

   • Configuration: Landscaping/Urban Planning Digital Terrain Model flyout
2. Click a DTM.
3. Click Elev grid in the Input options.
4. In the Input Options, click Quadri, Triangl or World Gr.
   Examples
   

   Example for Elevation Points Arranged in a Grid

   Single elevation points: At any places in the DTM	Quadrilateral mesh 0.6m: Bottom left = grid reference point	A Grid zone B Width
   Triangular mesh 0.6m: Bottom left = grid reference point	0.6m : Origin = Grid reference point All points multiple of 0.6m

5. Enter the width of the grid.
6. Specify the area in which the grid is to be created.

Notes:

• In the case of a world grid, the system angle is ignored.
• You can suppress generation of grid points by pressing ESC.
• Elevation points beyond the DTM are suppressed.
