Settings for detailing windows

Tool(s): Open Window + Move Window

You can define the following parameters:

Anchor point

This is where you set the anchor point to which the detailing window is attached to the crosshairs.

Choose from one of the following options:

This defines the point of transport relative to the crosshairs.

X Factor

This is where you select the zoom factor in the X direction.

Y Factor

This is where you select the zoom factor in the Y direction.

Font factor

This is where you select the zoom factor for text. As it is independent of the zoom factor for design entities, the font size for the original fileset and for detailing windows can be left at the same size.

Border

Define whether the detailing window is to have a border or not. The following options are available:

• Off: no border.
• On: the border is displayed and will appear in printouts.
• Screen: the border is displayed but will be excluded from printouts.

Cut – hide background on/of

• On: the elements behind detailing windows are hidden. Please note that this can require considerable computing power and thus cause refresh operations to perform slowly.
• Off: elements are shown both in detailing windows and in the workspace.

  

  A: cut is set to on

  B: cut is set to off

Status

The display of elements within the detailing window can be assigned as follows:

• Normal: elements are displayed both in the original fileset and in the detailing window.
• Detail: elements are displayed in detailing windows only.
