Door SmartParts

Tool(s): Door SmartPart

You can define settings for the elements of the door on the Elements tab of the Door SmartPart. To select the elements, you can click them in the preview or you can click the corresponding icon.

The preview displays the frame, which serves as the basis for modeling a Door SmartPart.

Note: When you move the cursor near the bottom of the preview, the cursor changes to a double-headed arrow. Now you can change the size of the preview area.

Elements tab

Preview

The SmartPart is displayed graphically. The preview changes in accordance with the selected SmartPart elements. When you have selected an element of the SmartPart, this element is displayed in the selection color in the preview. Click a SmartPart element in the preview to select this element. So you can quickly access the element you want to edit.

Using the mouse, you can change the section displayed in the same way as in normal viewports:
Zooming in and out: move the mouse wheel.
Zoom all: double-click the middle mouse button.
Pan: press and hold down the middle mouse button, then move the mouse.
Zoom section: use the right mouse button to specify the section.

Element

Frame, Glass, Subdivision horizontal, Subdivision vertical, Mullion, Transom, Cross, Casement, Leaf, Vertical muntins, Horizontal muntins, Diagonal muntins, Fan muntins, Without
Elements : you can delete the current element.

All: you can set all the modifications you have made on the Elements tab back to their defaults.

Note: The contents of the Elements tab change with the Element you select. Click the element types for more information.

Note: When you place or select a SmartPart, an arrow appears in the middle of the SmartPart. This arrow indicates the outside of the SmartPart. Depending on the position of the SmartPart within the opening, you can see another symbol This symbol indicates that the SmartPart is mirrored before it is placed. You can set the size and color of these symbols using the Size of CursorTips for snap points and Color of CursorTips options you can find in the Options (Default toolbar), Point snap page, Point snap representation area.
