Character height - pen assignment

When you select the Use fixed pen (template text) to display text relative to character height check box, text with a certain height is displayed with a specific pen (with Allplan fonts only). Other fonts are always displayed with pen 1.

You can see a preview of the text on the left. The text color results from the selected pen. You can make settings for the pens in the desktop environment options on the pen colors page.

When the Color stands for pen option is switched off in Show/Hide (View menu), all the elements are displayed using color 1 (black) on screen. This also applies to the text preview on this option page.

Color stands for pen means that the color used to display an element on screen is associated with (and thus dependent on) the pen thickness of the element in question. Elements drawn with a certain pen (or pen thickness) are always presented on-screen with the same color, regardless of the colors assigned to the individual elements. You can specify which color represents which pen in the Options (Standard toolbar) on the Desktop environment - Pen colors page. You can switch the Color stands for pen option on and off in Show/Hide on the Standard toolbar.

The text height is defined by the upper limit (To height). The lower limit (From height) is obtained from the setting of the previous pen.
