Tool(s): 3D Line

To draw a 3D line

1. Click 3D Line (How).
   

   Activate 3D Line in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools 3D Modeling

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   3D Modeling

   • Configuration: Design Basic 3D Elements flyout
2. Click 3D Line on the 3D Line Context toolbar.
3. To draw a polyline consisting of 3D lines, click Polyline in the Input Options.
4. Set the start point of the line by clicking a corner or end point of an existing solid or line.
5. To set the end point of the line, do the following:
   • Click a corner or end point of an existing solid or line.
   • Enter the dx, dy and dz vectors.
6. Repeat step 5 to draw more lines or a 3D polyline.

   Tip: Using Back you can undo as many steps as you want.

   Note: The start and end points of a line can be positioned so that they are parallel to the coordinate planes (elevation, plan). The points automatically assume the coordinates of the coordinate plane that is parallel to the screen.

   Tip: Point snap or Work Plane (How) help you draw 3D lines without existing 3D elements.

   

   Activate Work Plane in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: View

   • Toolbar: Special
