Sharing a printer for other users on the network

To share a printer for other users on the network

  1. Click Start at the lower border of the viewport, click Control Panel and then select Devices and Printers or Printers and Faxes.
  2. Click with the right mouse button on the printer you want to share.
  3. On the shortcut menu, click Printer properties and select the Sharing tab or click Sharing....

    Note: Click Additional Drivers... to install more drivers so that users running different Windows operating systems can select these drivers when they connect to shared printers.

  4. Enable the Share this printer option and enter a share name, taking into account the following conventions:
