Adding change notices to and removing change notices from layouts

You can assign change notices and release notes in the form of an index table to layouts. This information is displayed in the layout when you use the Label tool (How) to place a label style that contains the relevant fields. Layout legends created with the Legend, Title Block tool (How) do not take into account entries of the subindex type.
The approach for deleting change notices is analogous to the one for creating them.

Activate Legend, Title Block in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Layout

• Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

A label style is essentially an associative label. The contents of a label style update to reflect any changes you make to the properties of the element to which the label style has been applied.

Activate Label in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Layout

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Layout

Tip: You can also define the index table in the Layout Attributes dialog box, which you can access using the Allplan Exchange Layout Distribution or Layout and Project Attributes tool.

To add change notices to a layout

1. In the Layout module, click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How)
   or
   start ProjectPilot and open the folder with the layouts.
   

   Activate Open on a Project-Specific Basis... in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File

   • Keyboard: Ctrl+Alt+O

   • Toolbar: Standard
2. Click the layout to which you want to add change notices with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, choose Properties .
3. Select the Settings tab and open the Index table area.
4. Select the index type in the New index line. Layout legends do not take into account sub-indexes.

   The sub-entries of the index are displayed and the index name is proposed automatically. An additional line - New index - is added for another layout index.

5. Specify the index entries.
6. Click OK to confirm the Properties ... dialog box and close the Open on a project-specific basis: layouts dialog box or ProjectPilot.
   

To delete existing change notices

1. In the Layout module, click Open on a Project-Specific Basis (How)
   or
   start ProjectPilot and open the folder with the layouts.
2. Click the layout whose change notices you want to delete with the right mouse button and, on the shortcut menu, choose Properties.
3. Select the Settings tab and open the Index table area.
4. Click the index you want to delete.
5. Click Remove layout index at the end of the line.

   The program deletes the selected index without prompting you to confirm.

6. Click OK to confirm the Properties ... dialog box and close the Open on a project-specific basis: layouts dialog box or ProjectPilot.
