Concrete component

Module(s): Concrete Construction

You can use the Concrete Component tool to create a parametric component with or without reinforcement.

To create a concrete component

  1. Click Concrete Component (How).

The Library palette opens automatically. The Concrete folder is selected.

  2. You can use the area at the top to navigate through the folders:
  3. Click the folder of a component.
  4. Double-click the required element or press and hold down the left mouse button and drag the element into the workspace.

The concrete component is attached to the crosshairs.

  5. Define the parameters of the component in the palette. All changes are immediately displayed in the preview.
  6. Make settings for the tools in the input options, specify a rotation angle in the dialog line, if necessary, and place the component in the workspace.
  7. If the Modify SmartPart using Handles option was active when you placed the component, you can still change the parameters of the component in the palette or using the handles. If the format properties are not defined in the component itself, the settings on the Format toolbar are used.
  8. Press ESC to finish.

A copy of the component you placed last is attached to the crosshairs.

  9. Place more components with the same or different parameters or press ESC twice to return to the Concrete folder.

Note: Double-click the component or select Properties on the shortcut menu to modify existing components using dialog boxes and handles. Labels and schemas created later are saved, updated and restored after the modification.
