Working with layer structures

• When you are working with Workgroup Manager in a network environment, you must be logged in as administrator.
  

  Workgroup Manager handles the organization of CAD workstations in local networks. The Workgroup Manager module enables users to access all projects on all computers from every workstation. It ensures data consistency even if several users are simultaneously working on the same project.

Important: importing a layer structure overwrites the current layer structure. If you are working with office-specific layers, this operation affects all the projects with office-specific layer structures.

To retrieve a saved layer structure

1. There are two ways to do this:
   • If you are working with the Layers palette, click Load favorite in the action bar at the bottom.
   • Click Select, Set Layers (How), open the Layer Structures tab and Load layer structure at bottom left in the dialog box.
     

     Activate Select, Set Layers in one of the following ways

     • Menu bar: Format

     • Keyboard: Ctrl+4

     • Toolbar: Format
2. When retrieving a saved layer structure containing line styles, you can decide whether to retrieve this line style definition, too.
