Saving layer structures

Working with layer structures

• When you are working with Workgroup Manager in a network environment, you must be logged in as administrator.
  

  Workgroup Manager handles the organization of CAD workstations in local networks. The Workgroup Manager module enables users to access all projects on all computers from every workstation. It ensures data consistency even if several users are simultaneously working on the same project.

To save the current layer structure

1. There are two ways to do this:
   • If you are working with the Layers palette, click Save as a favorite in the action bar at the bottom.
   • Click Select, Set Layers (How), open the Layer Structures tab and Save layer structure at bottom left in the dialog box.
     

     Activate Select, Set Layers in one of the following ways

     • Menu bar: Format

     • Keyboard: Ctrl+4

     • Toolbar: Format
2. Enter a name for the layer structure and click OK.
3. If the current layer structure contains a layer which is associated with a line style, the file containing the line style definition is also saved (with the same name as the layer structure but with the extension .sty). Click OK to confirm the note.
