Placing a link to an Internet address

Use this tool to place a link to an Internet address. Using this tool, you can create a link between your drawing file and up-to-date information from manufacturers of building materials, for example. The link is displayed as a button. When you click the button while pressing and holding down the CTRL key, the web page associated with the button is displayed in your web browser.

To set a link to an Internet address

  1. Click Link (How).
  2. Click Hyperlink in the dialog box.
  3. Enter the URL in the dialog line and press Enter to confirm.

    Note: The address must not exceed 80 characters.

  4. Enter the aspect ratio and place the link.
  5. Use one of the following methods to define the angle at which the hyperlink is placed:

Note: Besides Web pages, you can also link to documents on your local machine. For example, you can enter ‘C:\docs\window.doc’.

Note: To change a link you have already placed, double-click the link or click it with the right mouse button and choose Properties on the shortcut menu. The Properties palette also displays the link and you can change it there.
