Updating hidden line image

Tool(s): Hidden Line Image, Wireframe

You can use this tool to update a 2D hidden-line image based on a 3D volume model. The drawing files and the view required for the update are loaded automatically by the program.

After updating, the old image is deleted and the new, modified 2D image is saved. The result is displayed on screen.

Note: The update will delete any data you have added to the drawing file with the hidden line image since the hidden line image was calculated. Any new (additional) data should therefore always be placed in a separate drawing file and not in the drawing file with the hidden line image.

To update a hidden line image

1. Click Hidden Line Image, Wireframe (How).
   

   Activate Hidden Line Image, Wireframe in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Tools

   • Toolbar: Default
2. Click Click Update Hidden Line Image.
3. Click the drawing file you want to update.

Note: This function cannot be used when

• you have configured the program to display surface elements in the parameters for the hidden line image.
• you have activated the tool from a NDW-format file.
