Archiving layouts, overview

In Allplan you can archive layouts in two ways. These options are briefly described below.

Archiving as a PDF file

Selection

Open the Print Layouts (How) tool and select the PDF file option. You can also open the Export PDF Data (How) tool and select the Archiving format PDF/A-1a option.

Activate Export PDF Data in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Layout

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Layout

Activate Print Layouts in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Layout

• Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Assembling layouts

Administration

You can enter any name for the PDF file and save it in any folder.

Printing layouts later

Using the application associated with the pdf file type.

Archiving using external programs

Requirement

You have installed and configured a document management system.

Selection

Open the Print Layouts (How) tool and select the Archiving option in the Output mode area on the Printer tab.
