Cut (and place on the Clipboard)

Using the Clipboard

You can use the Cut tool to cut the selected elements and put them on the Clipboard. Then you can insert them in the current file as often as you need using Paste and Paste to Original Position. This command is not available when no element is selected.

To put elements on the Clipboard

1. Select the elements you want to place on the Clipboard.
2. Click Cut (How).
   

   Activate Cut in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Edit
3. Use Paste or Paste to Original Position to insert the elements on the Clipboard into the current file as often as you need. You can also switch to a different file prior to inserting.
