Copy (to the Clipboard)

Using the Clipboard

You can use the Copy tool to copy selected elements to the Clipboard. Then you can insert them in the current document as often as you need using Paste and Paste to Original Position. The data can also be pasted as a meta-format file into other applications. This command is not available when no element is selected.

To copy elements to the Clipboard

1. Select the elements you want to copy to the Clipboard.
2. Click Copy (How).
   

   Activate Copy in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Edit
3. Use Paste or Paste to Original Position to insert the elements on the Clipboard into the current file as often as you need. You can also switch to a different file prior to inserting.
