Behavior of layers when copying or moving elements between documents

• If the source drawing file includes elements whose layers have the status visible, frozen, the system will issue a prompt as to whether these elements are also to be copied or moved.
• Elements with layers that are Hidden, frozen, are not copied or moved. This does not apply to elements that are associated with other elements (e.g. component labels). If this is the case, the elements are still copied or moved to the destination drawing file and inserted on their original layer.
• Elements always have the same layers in the source and destination drawing files. However, there is an exception to this rule: if you try to insert elements with a layer you are not allowed to access (if, for example, you belong to a user group that has limited access rights to layers), Allplan will assign the DEFAULT layer to these elements (you need to click Yes when you see the prompt displayed above).
