Using local forms and settings across the entire network
This option is available for HP DesignJet printers if the following requirements are met:
- For HP DesignJet 350/450/600/650/750/1050 with driver version 4.65 or later. In addition, a print server is used to control the printer (the port is not defined based on an IP address).
- For HP DesignJet 500 with HPGL/2-card/800/4000/5000/5500 with firmware version A 2.12 or later and driver version 6.11 or later. In addition, a print server is used to control the printer (the port is not defined based on an IP address).
Tip: Drivers and firmware are available on the Internet at http://www.designjet.hp.com/.
To make local settings available for other users
- Log on as the administrator for the computer where the printer is directly connected and shared (print server).
- Click Start at the lower border of the viewport, click Control Panel and then select Devices and Printers or Printers and Faxes.
- Click the printer with the right mouse button and select Printing preferences on the shortcut menu.
- Click Custom… or More forms... and enter the relevant paper size.
- Make additional settings as you require.
Enter a name to save the settings you have made under Name of configuration or quick settings for print jobs.
Now each user can select this configuration for printing:
Print Layouts, select Windows printer and click Settings.
