Calculate thermal insulation

You can use the Calculate Thermal Insulation (How) tool to transfer all envelope surfaces you have defined to the special software program for thermal insulation calculations.

You can use the DÄMMWERK program provided by the KERN company in conjunction with the current Allplan version. For more information, go to http://www.bauphysik-software.de/

Activate Calculate Thermal Insulation in one of the following ways

• Menu bar: Create Energy Thermal Insulation

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

Thermal Insulation

After you have transferred the surfaces, you can still modify or assign the attributes required for calculations.

Exiting the thermal insulation program takes you back to Allplan. Some Allplan tools may not be available to you while the thermal insulation program is running.

Note: Please refer to the help and documentation provided with the thermal insulation program to find out how it works.

If you transfer surfaces which have not been given the component type of exterior wall or window to the thermal insulation program, the orientation defined for these surfaces may not be taken into account.
