Introduction

Defaults: Cross-Section Catalogs

Open the Tools menu, select Defaults and click Cross-Section Catalogs to access self-explanatory forms for managing and updating bar and mesh cross-section catalogs.

The commercially available catalogs are predefined. You can add your own reinforcement elements at any time.

The term "cross-section catalog" refers to the combination of all the characteristics for reinforcing steel meshes and reinforcing bars. The contents of the individual cross-section catalogs can be separated into logical groups. In the mesh area, a distinction is made between standard stock mesh, custom mesh, custom design mesh and spacers. The meshes can be defined with or without a single bar representation, as required. In the reinforcing bar area, it is useful to divide according to steel grades.

Predefined, standard characteristic values are provided. These are read by the various reinforcement modules when the reinforcement is created and made available for further processing.

The cross-section catalogs are generally managed on an office-wide level. However, they can also be managed on a project-specific level. To define this, select New Project, Open Project on the File menu.

You can list the cross-section catalogs in a report. This report can be customized, printed, placed in the current document or saved as a file in Excel, Word or PDF format. Numerical input for custom meshes is supported, as is output of a mesh with a single bar representation.
