Restrictions applying to saving and loading options

You cannot save all of the option settings as favorites and exchange them with partners. Such options can be found in separate dialog boxes that are accessed from the Options dialog box.

Note: The option settings that cannot be saved as a favorite do not change when you reset them.

The following option settings are not saved as favorites:

• Option settings depending on the computer or the current data structure such as
  • Path settings (Desktop environment page)
  • Settings for hidden line representation (Display page)
• Options that vary depending on the situation such as
  • Miscellaneous - Special (Components and architecture page)
  • Defaults for Import/export using point file (Terrain page)
  • DXF, DWG import (Import and export page)
• Project-specific options such as
  • Sequence defaults (Desktop environment page)
  • Catalog assignments (Catalogs page)
  • Defaults for Automatically dimension views and sections (Views and sections page)

Note: Project settings can only be changed by the system administrator or project owner. Project-specific options are saved in the project. They are also included in project backups. These options are automatically set when you import a project backup.
