Convert

Module(s): Bar Reinforcement + Mesh Reinforcement

You can use the Convert tool to convert shell and reinforcement elements to non-associative design entities and text. For example, you can use this to indicate starter bars.

To convert shell and reinforcement elements to non-associative, general-purpose elements

1. Click Convert (How).
   

   Activate Conversion in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Engineering Bar/Mesh Reinforcement

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Bar Reinforcement

   Mesh Reinforcement

   • Configuration: Engineering Display flyout
2. Click the shell and reinforcement elements to be derived.
3. Assign the pen, line and color for the elements once they have been converted.
   • Click Yes to use the current settings on the Format toolbar.
   • Click No to use the settings of the elements being converted.
4. Click the starting point for the move (this function moves the converted elements to a different place in the workspace).
5. Click the end point for the move.
   Use the data entry tools to assist you.
