Bar-End Marks

Module(s): Bar Reinforcement

You can use the Bar-End Marks tool to mark the ends of a bar with the appropriate symbols. This is useful for highlighting the ends of bars, for example, or for emphasizing splices.

To mark the ends of bars using symbols

1. Click Bar-End Marks (How).
   

   Activate Bar-End Marks in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Engineering Bar Reinforcement

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Bar Reinforcement

2. Select a type in the Input options:
   • Type1: this mark is used in Germany. it consists of a line at an angle of 45° and the mark number of the bar.
   • Type2: this mark is used in Finland. it consists of a line at an angle of 150°.
   • Type3: this mark is used in the Netherlands. it consists of a line at an angle of 20° and a custom text.
   • Type4: this mark is used in England. it consists of an arrow that can be placed freely and the mark number of the bar.
   • Type5: this mark is used in Belgium. it consists of a filled triangle and the mark number of the bar.
3. Select the bars to be assigned bar-end marks using a selection rectangle or the brackets tool.
