Importing SKP files (SketchUp)

Using content

Program: Allplan 2015

SKP files created in SketchUp (up to version 8) can be imported to Allplan. The data is transferred as 3D surfaces and placed in Allplan using the coordinates specified in SketchUp. This way, you can use studies created in SketchUp as the basis for a building.

To import SKP files

  1. Download the file.
  2. Decompress the file and save it in any folder on your computer.
  3. Start Allplan 2015.
  4. Click Import on the File menu and then Import SketchUp Data.
  5. Select the file you have downloaded and click Open.

The 3D model is placed in the document. The coordinates defined in SketchUp are used.

Saving and exporting SKP files

You can use Export SketchUp Data to export Allplan data to SketchUp format (*.skp, versions 6 and 7).
