HALFEN-DEHA export-calculation-import

You can use the HALFEN-DEHA Export-Calculation-Import tool to export existing geometric data and, if necessary, supporting forces and reinforcement results of FEA calculations (only when working in a project-based manner) to HALFEN DEHA’s calculation program, where you can calculate punching shear. You can then re-import the results into Allplan.

Note: You can only execute this tool when you have installed the appropriate version of HALFEN DEHA’S calculation program. Setup can be accessed straight from HALFEN DEHA's CD or downloaded using the HALFEN-DEHA Homepage tool.

To create punching shear reinforcement

1. Click HALFEN-DEHA Export-Calculation-Import (How).
   

   Activate HALFEN-DEHA Export-Calculation-Import in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Products, Producers HALFEN-DEHA

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   HALFEN-DEHA

2. Read the software agreement, which you can suppress after you have selected this tool for the first time, and click Close.
   

   You can use the tools in the modules of the Products, Manufacturers family to place fixtures that are provided by the individual manufacturers. Allplan GmbH does not assume any responsibility for these fixtures.
   Fixtures are placed automatically based on the results of the calculation program provided by the relevant manufacturer.

   More details are provided in the software agreement.

   This software agreement opens whenever you select a tool in the modules of the Products, Manufacturers family. To hide the software agreement, select the Do not show this dialog box in future option.
   

   Note: When you use the cleanstd hotline tool (on the Service menu in the Services application) to restore Allplan's default values, the software agreement will appear again.

3. Click a punching point you have defined using the Place Punching Point tool.

   Allplan scans a specific area defined around the selected point for data that is required for calculating punching shear (e.g. openings, slab edges, columns, supporting forces and reinforcement results of FEA calculations, ...), opens HALFEN DEHA's calculation program and automatically imports the data saved.

   

   Supporting forces for point and line supports are only transferred to HALFEN DEHA's calculation program when several load cases have been calculated in the FEA program and thus minimum and maximum values exist. HALFEN DEHA's calculation program ignores values of single load cases.
   If there are values of single load cases only, the supporting forces will not be transferred.

   In the case of line support reactions, please note that the values are only transferred to HALFEN DEHA's calculation program when there is an associated architectural wall.
   If, for example, you export the data with one FEA drawing file only, the reaction forces are not transferred to HALFEN DEHA although they are included in the data record created.

   

   The area around the punching point is defined by a circle having a diameter of 12 times the slab thickness. The value used for the slab thickness depends on the existing geometry.

   • If an architectural slab exists and if this slab is within the area of the punching point, which is defined by a standard circle of 180 mm diameter around the punching point, Allplan uses the thickness of this slab. Otherwise, a default value of 180 mm is used.
   • If a FEA calculation is available (with or without architectural slab), the slab thickness of this FEA calculation is used. If this FEA calculation does not include a slab thickness, Allplan uses the default value of 180 mm and issues a message.
     The slab thickness of this FEA calculation is used in HALFEN DEHA's calculation program.
   • If neither an architectural slab nor a FEA calculation exists, Allplan uses the default value of 180 mm.
4. Enter the parameters required by HALFEN DEHA’s program and calculate the data.
5. Transfer the results to Allplan.

   The required studrails are taken from the article catalog and placed as specified at the punching point.
   

Note: If you perform an additional calculation for a punching point you have already calculated, Allplan will not automatically update existing reinforcement contour lines and FEA reinforcement color images when you import the results again.
In this case, you need to delete the contour lines and display them again using the Reinforcement Contours tool. In addition, open the FEA Reinforcement Color Image tool, set the Update Display option to Off and create the color images again.
