General mark properties

Tool(s): Mesh Shape

You can define the following mark properties in the General area.

Mark number

Set the mark number. If you enter an existing mark number, the program issues a message and automatically activates the next available mark number.
The largest possible mark number is 9999.

Concrete strength grade

The concrete strength grade you have selected in the options is displayed for information.

Cross-section catalog

The list box presents all the cross-section catalogs defined as mesh cross-section catalogs.

Mesh type

The list box provides various mesh types, which depend on the selected cross-section catalog.

Bending direction

Specify the direction of the axis which is used to bend the mesh. The Transverse direction applies to the longitudinal bars and the Longitudinal direction to the cross bars.

Mesh length/Mesh width

Depending on the bending direction defined, you specify the dimension of the mesh perpendicular to the bending direction. The grayed out mesh dimension is obtained from the bending shape entered. The bending length specified (e in the following illustration) must not be exceeded.

You can specify the Mesh width for the Transverse bending direction (which applies to the longitudinal bars) and the Mesh length for the Longitudinal direction.

Bending direction set to trans.

Bending direction set to long.

Note: When you change the Cross-section catalog or Mesh type, various shape-specific parameters such as the hook length or the anchorage lengths calculated by the program adapt automatically.
