Exterior boundary

You can use the Exterior Boundary tool to create, modify or delete an exterior boundary of a DTM. The exterior boundary defines the area of a DTM within which Allplan will perform calculations, apply labeling and update data automatically.

Notes:

• When no exterior boundary is defined, the convex shell of the DTM serves as the boundary by default.
• An exterior boundary must pass through existing grid points.
• When working with drawing files, it is advisable to keep the exterior boundary as a geometric entity in a separate drawing file. You can use the polyline entry tools to match the element with the grid points on top.
