Introduction
Digital Terrain Model
The Digital Terrain Model module is used to edit and model terrain data in three-dimensional space. Survey points are entered or can be imported if available in digital form.
- The terrain is generated using a grid consisting of three-dimensional triangular surfaces. Special areas (e.g., building plots) can be defined in this grid and cut out later during the edit phase.
- The terrain can be converted to a 3D solid for downward processing in the 3D Modeling module. It can then be converted back to a DTM.
- You can define a freeform profile section through the terrain and place this as a graphical extract in the workspace.
- Together with the Site Plan module you can also define routes and streets in the terrain.
