You can use this option to specify whether the Spiral tool will create transition arcs, oval clothoids and spiral clothoids or parabolic transition arcs.
Parabolic transition arcs are created – the kind used by the Federal German Railways, for example. This kind of curve generally consists of two parts.
Transition arcs computed linearly, i.e., clothoids, oval clothoids and spiral clothoids (used in road construction) are created.
Spiral tool will create transition arcs, oval clothoids and spiral clothoids or parabolic transition arcs.
