This setting defines how the inclination is entered when you define points using Polar Coordinates. The inclination of the lines created is based on the x axis of the coordinate system, which is defined by the System Angle function.

An example: when you design a cross-section of a bridge, you enter the inclination as a percentage.

Specify whether the inclination is to be entered as:

• an angle
• a ratio (1:x)
• a percentage (%)
• a per mil value (%%)

In addition, the setting you make here is used to output the inclination measured using the Measure tool.
As a separate tool is provided for measuring angles, the inclination of an angle is displayed as a percentage. However, you can enter the inclination as an angle.
