Skew
Module Site Plan
Tight curves, road openings, etc. sometimes need to be enlarged in order to accommodate heavy trucks, for example. You can use the Skew tool to perform the enlargement manually or automatically (according to RAS guidelines).
To skew an element or composite element in a RAS-compliant manner
- Click Skew (How).
- In the Input options, click RAS.
- Define the start of the skew in one of the following ways:
- By clicking a (user-defined) start point - alternatively, enter a station. Then enter the offset in the start point.
- By clicking an existing point such as the start or end point of a parallel element. The station and offset are calculated automatically.
- Define the end point of the skew in the same manner.
To skew an element or composite element manually
- Click Skew (How).
- In the Input options, click Man.
- Enter the number of stations.
- In the dialog box that appears, enter the perpendicular offset between each station and the location line.
