Lighting Effects

Tool(s): Photo + Photo, parameters

Since the brightness of surfaces depends on the angle of incidence of a ray of light at the center of gravity of the surface, the distances to the lights in the 3D model should not be too small.

Interesting results are produced when a light is located near the eye point.

You can generally create good spatial impressions using the Fill surfaces option alone if the light sources are positioned in such a way that different angles of incidence apply to individual surfaces.

If, on the other hand, you want a large number of surfaces (such as the facades of the various floors of a house) to appear in the same shade, you should position the light as far away from the building as possible. Alternatively, you can illuminate the building using parallel light. This results in similar shades of color.
