Create, save file show

Note: This option is not available in document-based Allplan versions.

You can use the Create, Save File Show tool to assemble a series of individual drawing files to make a file show that you can save under a name of your choice. You can use this feature to present your project, or as a means of quickly displaying the contents of the different drawing files.

Note: The program displays all the drawing files of a show using the current view, display scale and section. You cannot display the active drawing file and files open in edit or reference mode simultaneously. Nor can you display different scales and views at the same time.

If you wish to use file shows as a means of presenting data, you should make some preparations beforehand. For example, you can generate hidden line images and/or wireframe models of isometric and perspective views. You can also combine the contents of different drawing files in a new fileset or project by copying and/or moving the data you require.

To create and save a file show

1. Click Create, Save File Show (How).
   

   Activate Create, Save File Show in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Presentation Paint

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Paint

2. Enter a name for the show.
3. Enter the numbers of the drawing files you wish to include in the show.
4. Click OK to confirm your selection.

Note: You can use Run File Show at any time to display a file show that you have saved on screen.
