Stds test element

Stair Components, Overview

You can define a standards test element in the same way as any other stair component. An element of this type serves to check that specified conditions (e.g., national building regulations, minimum tread, headroom) have been met . If the specified conditions are complied with, the test element is successfully compared with each element in the entire stair. If the conditions are not met, the test element is compared up to the point where the conditions are not fulfilled.

Example: Checking the minimum tread.

The parameters for the testing element are set in such a way that the element runs parallel to the front edge of the step and has a width of 10 cm.

(A) The tread width at this point is less than the minimum tread width.
The test element stops there. It is advisable to change the design.
