Ldg+, Lndg

Stair, defining the stair’s line of travel and geometry

When you have defined the outline of the stair, you can use the Lndg or Ldg+ parameter to add landings of a specified length wherever you want.

This simply involves extending a stair component previously defined as a step i.e., the component to be converted to a landing is stretched to the required length and the rise between this and the previous component is set to 0.

To insert a landing

  1. Click the point of intersection between the line of travel and the front edge of the step that you want to convert to a landing.
  2. Enter the length of the landing
    or
    In the Input options, click

Note: The value for the rise is retained if you set it prior to adding a landing.
Usually, adding a landing causes the actual length of the line of travel to increase with the result that not all of the stair components can be displayed. In this case, you can extend the line of travel using Aux Pt.
