2R+T: Tread-to-Riser Ratio

Context toolbar for defining a stair’s line of travel and geometry

When you have defined the outline of the stair, you can use the 2R+T parameter to specify the tread-to-riser ratio

The optimum ratio of tread to riser is:

2 x rise + tread = 59 to 65 cm

The optimum value is 62 cm.

The program first attempts to achieve a value as close to this as possible for the proposed stair. You can, however, enter any value you wish. Enter the tread-to-riser ratio at the keyboard. The stair is optimized at once. If you enter 0, the ratio is reset to the default value.

In the Stair Height dialog box, you can configure the program to optimize the value automatically.
