Story

Module(s): Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

You can use the Story tool to define stories and assign attributes. The stories can be analyzed with the Area Calculation, Application tool.

In addition, you can define surface properties for the surfaces that enclose the story and display them in the Animation module.

Tip: You can also create a story that is composed of substories with different parameters. Allplan does not create surfaces that enclose the story at the points where substories touch.

To define a story

1. Click Story (How).
   

   Activate Story in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Rooms, Surfaces, Stories

   • Configuration: Architecture Rooms flyout
2. If you want, you can now modify the parameters of the story.
   Several options are provided on the context toolbar for this.
   

   • Click Properties to set the parameters in a dialog box.
   • Click Match Properties to copy the settings form an existing element.
   • Click Load favorite to select saved parameter combinations.
3. Enter the story using the polyline entry tools.
4. Place the label.
5. Enter more stories or press ESC to quit the tool.
