You can use the Facing tool to draw facing.

To design facing

• You can only create facing in walls with multiple construction layers.

1. Click Facing (How).
   

   Activate Facing in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Special: Walls, Openings, Components

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Special: Walls, Openings, Components

2. If you want, you can now modify the facing parameters.
   The context toolbar provides several options.
   

   • Click Properties to set the parameters in a dialog box.
   • Click Match Properties to copy the settings form an existing element.
   • Click Load favorite to select saved parameter combinations.
3. You can now change the Lateral dimensions and Dimensions at top.
   Click Properties.
4. Click OK to confirm the dialog box.
5. Click the side of the opening where you want to add the facing.

Note: When you add facing to an opening with reveal, this reveal is automatically checked and corrected, if necessary. If the reveal is below a facing element, the reveal height is reduced automatically by the height of the facing element located above.

Note: In the case of openings whose height is associated with a component, it may happen that facing elements at the top are not correctly taken into account when they are created or modified. In this case, you can use Define, Modify Reveal to correct the reveal retroactively.
