Slab foundation

Module(s): Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

You can use the Slab Foundation tool to create polygonal-bounded slab foundations.

To create a slab foundation

1. Click Slab Foundation (How).
   

   Activate Slab Foundation in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Basic: Walls, Openings, Components

   • Configuration: Architecture Architectural Components flyout
2. If you want, you can now modify the slab foundation's parameters.
   Several options are provided on the context toolbar for this.
   

   • Click Properties to set the parameters in a dialog box.
   • Click Match Properties to copy the settings form an existing element.
   • Click Load favorite to select saved parameter combinations.
3. Enter the outline of the slab foundation using the polyline entry tools.

Tip: You can change the slab's bearing length on the fly. Place the first point for the slab and enter the bearing length. You can do this for each point you place while entering the outline.
