Corner Window

You can use the Corner Window tool to insert window openings in walls.

To create a corner window

  1. Click Corner Window (How).
  2. Click the corner of the wall (interior ore exterior side) in which you want to insert a corner window.
  3. Click the wall roughly where the first window is to be inserted. The system will automatically display the offset distance between the point you clicked and the corner of the wall. Enter the width of the first window in the dialog line and press ENTER to confirm this value.
  4. If you want, you can now modify the parameters of the opening.
    Use one of the following options provided on the Context toolbar.
  5. Click the wall roughly where the second window is to be inserted. The system will display the offset distance between the point you clicked and the corner of the wall. Enter the width of the second window in the dialog line and press ENTER to confirm this value.

    The corner window is inserted in the opening.

  6. If you have specified smart symbols in the property sheet, the system will prompt you for the reference point of the first smart symbol. Enter it and press the right mouse button to confirm the correct position of the smart symbols.
    Now define the reference point of the second smart symbol and confirm it by pressing the right mouse button.

  7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 to draw more corner windows. Otherwise, press ESC to quit the tool.

Note: Quantity takeoff operations that are compliant with German building regulations can only be performed when the openings are within the components.
