Importing STL data

You can use Import STL Data (File menu - Import) to import *.stl-format files to Allplan. The data are transferred as 3D triangular surfaces.

General information on the STL format

To import STL data

1. Click Import STL Data (How).
   

   Activate Import STL Data in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: File Import

2. Select a file and click Open.

   Tip: You can also drag the STL file to the document or animation window.

   The 3D model is created in the document.
   The current settings on the Format toolbar (pen thickness, line type, line color and layer) are used.
